Wow, came out very nice! Any problems with stains? I am asking because my basement floor is painted slab, and I have stains on it now, as well as a lot of scratches, so I am thinking about redoing the floors soon.

get a concrete cleaner for the stains.
home depot has it in gallons. itll come right off. I also use muratic acid to etch the concrete but be carefull that stuff is toxic. use in well ventilated area. it starts fogging even after opening the cap. once you pour on a nasty stain full strenght its like a smoke show. DONT BREATH THE FUMES! muratic acid will get rid of stains aswell. |

Did you use the epoxy paint? I have a new house with garage in the basement, and am trying to decide what to do for the floor. As I understand it, epoxy paint is the best, but I have seen latex based floor paint with claims of hot tire pickup resistance. I dont like the sounds of the muriatic acid thing, which would be required because the floor is extremely smooth. Maybe I will just put sealer on it and call it good.
