Soeed Sensor to Control Trans Lockup
I have an Autometer electric speedometer and a 200 4R transmission with lockup. I haven't looked at the speedometer pulse sender that is in the transmission, but I assume it has only one output to the speedometer. I know there is a "pass through" adapter that can be purchased for about $80, but I don't know if that is the only way to go.
I would like to add a speed related switch into the transmission lockup circuit so that it doesn't lockup until the car reaches a speed of about 40 mph. Anyone know of the best way to do this with my current setup? John
