Solid roller to hydraulic roller cam questions

The car is an 87 Trans Am GTA with non-original motor, the 305 was swapped out for a 350,unknown year.

The engine is not a factory hydraulic roller block and at present has a solid roller cam.I am wanting to put a hydraulic roller cam back in.

What problems am I going to encounter?

Should be fairly straightforward, I'd think.

Be sure to remove any oil restrictors that may have been installed for the solid roller.

Valve spring pressure is likely too much for what's gonna be needed w/the juice cam.

Tuning will be needed, probably. Distributor advance/timing curve, carb jetting.

Depending on your set-up, the carb and intake might not match the juice cam, but that is an unknown until more is known about what you now have.
