What's the finished paint scheme gonna be?
Will you be doing any more body mods, i.e. chops or channels? What do you want on the license plate? |

Sorry. I'm slow to respond. I never know when I can get to the computer. Might be a little harder in pencil? I'm probably going black, maybe with gost flames. I also saw a truck I really like done two tone. The top was silver down to the belt line (including the top of the hood), the fenders and running board were done in silver, with all the in between painted black. Real slick, but I cant find the darn picture anywhere. I'm really not sure. May let you come up with something. I like dark colors for the most part. Even thought of the new deep red metallic they use on the 06 Dodge pickups or the burnt orange metallic on some of the jeeps. Darn.....I cant decide..... I do like this one though! http://www.hotrodders.com/gallery/sh...hp/photo/33556 Body mods. Yes. I've made a solid decision to take about 2 inches out of the top. Will leave same rake to windshield. Shortening bed at least 4 inches in the rear. Rear fender will be at least 2 inches wider to accomodate larger wheels. I'm going with 16/18 American Racing Hopster. Really like them. No bumpers. The ride height in the picture with the bed on it is correct. I've put some angle to the radiator and will shorten the hood about an inch but its probably not enough to really notice. I'll probably go without the engine skirts. 9" or larger headlights. May not place side mirrors. Wipers mounted below winshield. Shaved door handles. Solid placed windshield (no crank out). I like them smooth and simple looking. To me....less is more. Will be running a polished LS1, polished headers, and at least a polished LSX aluminum intake if not a polished Magnesson blower (probably not though on the later....very expensive). I may have given way too much info. If so...sorry. We dont run plates on the front of vehicles in Arkansas.Dave Last edited by Stovebolter; 03-13-2008 at 05:39 PM. |

I like your Mustang (GT500 Fastback) illustration Job~Rated. Your detail is increasing. Are you using markers? What type of paper?
I did this one a couple of years ago and just added a quick graphic behind it. Larry Wood (from Hot Wheels) ...at Mattel. He liked the hot rod '37 Zephyr. Although I did not get in the door at Mattel (2004) I was glad to have met Larry. He is semi retired but works for Mattel part time and spends the rest of his time working on his own hot rods in Long Beach, CA.
