Question Sound clips of gear drives? Vids of cars w/ gear drives?

Does anyone have sound clips or video clips of timing gear drives on a V8 of any make? I'd like to hear the "noisy" ones like Pete Jackson and some other companies make.

I'm building an engine for my girlfriend and she wants it to "sound like it has a blower", and I want her to hear some gear drives before we order and install one. Somehow, I have NEVER run into anyone with one on their car... not at the track, car shows, street races... nowhere!

I spent an hour searching for sound clips and found none, although I read a lot about the potential harmonics issues.

Thanks in advance.

I've got a loud proform gear drive sounds bad *** wit open headers but I think its going to be too loud when I put on mufflers and I may change to chain. Theres a reason you cant find anyone with one! Go roller chain!

That loud chain sound will be great for about 10 minutes. You will get tired of not being able to talk in the car while its running.

Gear Drive Noise

Don't have any sound clips to send--just my personal experience/advice on a Pete Jackson "Noisy" drive. I ran one in a small block pro-street Vega and can tell you your g/f would not like it after about 3 days of the constant whine.
Sure ,everyone would turn heads at car shows when fired up (as I pushed in my ear plugs ) I changed it to a good double roller chain drive after about 2 months. Won't ever use one again. And then there are those harmonic issues involved too. Just my 2 cents worth.

Ive driven arround with a pete jackson gear drive for a while as well maybe 2 months, and in that time nearly everyone who has heard it run has thought that there was something seriously wrong with it.
Its pretty hard to impress people when your car sounds like its screaming bloody murder.

I too have a Pete Jackson noisy gear drive in my 350 and I think it's obnoxious. I installed it when I swapped in a new cam and from the minute I fired it up to break the cam in I hated it. It's too loud, and it's all you hear when the engine is running. Dont get it.

??????????

Works with me all right. I even cleared my cache??

Try "save link as".
This should save you a .mpg file.

Otherwise you can find it and many other vettesounds here:
