Most plugs that are factory replacements come pre gapped. I gap mine at .045.

The truck is my DD , I put in 650 miles a week. The 5.7 is stock with a 1405 eddy carb. it had NGk and they didn't last 3 months , I pulled a plug and it had brown rust on the plug. They went from a .035 gap to a .040 gap.

Don`t run anything with accell written on it. pure junk. I stick with tried and true AC Delco`s, if I can`t get them I use bosch platnums.
