sparks

i have a 85 el camino with a new crate engine n new tranny just drove it for the first time n notice something wrong went uner it n saw a spark coming from in between the motor n tranny everything is new except flywheel didnt see the screws hitting anything any advice.thanks

It sparked when you were under the car?? Sounds like the battery connection to the starter solenoid shorted.

it does it when i punch it only n another thing the old motor was a 4.3 tbi n i think it had a th200 now i put a th350 n i dont know y i used the same flywheel. might that be the problem cause the spark looke like it comes from in between the torque convertor n the flexplate

This doesn't seem possible because the torque converter is bolted to the flexplate so there should be nothing moving between them.

I put a power master starter can it be wrong it's adjustable

I agree with 69nova, check the starter wires they're close to the area you described. Is it possible there was an old 12v line (10 guage) going from the starter to your accessories and its now hanging there but getting power elsewhere?

Sparks and no blown fuse = bad
