Anyone got a PPG DBU code for "Ford Imperial Blue"? This pic came from a Google search (Cobra forum board), but the only info I could find alluded to it being from an "English" Ford of some type... Could not find any paint chips from that market.

I do not have a PPG code, but I may be able to help. I went to www.sherwin-automotive.com/formula and did a search. I first searched in the Euro Ford section for that color name. It did not return anything. I then searched in Ford and came back with an exterior code of FCVE for that color, with a formula number of 70471. I think FCVE is a Ford code. I would think that code may mean something to a PPG person.

I've had good luck with the sherwin williams automotive site for looking up paint codes. I hope this is the one you are looking for.

I was able to Google "FCVE" and found a PDF file that had the DuPont code "L9890". Googling that shows it to also be called "Azure Blue Metallic" and that's where the trail stops...

The guy that's painting my car won't use anything but PPG "DBC"... Luckily, TCPGlobal sells it for half what the local supplier wants, but the correct code is needed.
