i don't think they got a limiter till 98 or 99 if i'm not mistaken. someone correct me if i'm wrong.

We do program those, and I've seen the speed limiters anywhere from 108 to 150 to 255 on these cars. My advice is, if you have not hit it, no worries. If you do, it needs to be programmed out, or up, actually. Clue: Look at the factory tyre specs on that specific car you have.
