Which speedo cable for a 350 chevy/autometer gauges?

I have a turbo 350, and mechanical autometer gauges with the speedometer cable that screws in. What year car/truck should I be asking for when I go to my local parts store.

Go to NAPA or a similar parts store. The Zone is absolutely worthless if you dont know the year. I went to NAPA and the parts guy asked me what leangth and went and got it. No computer, no book. But anyway I think mine was from a mid 80's chevy truck.

I'll try Napa. I usually don't buy from them because at the store here they don't seem like they want to sell anything.

If you go to the Zone, just tell them you want to look at their selection to find one that will work, for whatever reason.

I took my stock one in to match the length and looked for one with the threads on both sides.
