speedometer 87 corvette

Anyone know where the speed control sensor is, speedo not working, haynes has one on the firewall? any suggestions where I nee to look to fix this?

speed sensor is on left rear of transmission, if thats what you're looking for

Does your odometor work? if it is working properly you may have a bad instrument cluster, they both use the same sensor.
