Speedometer calibration 86 chevy C-20 Pickup
During a Dash Change out, and Dash Bezel,I removed the Gauges
to replace instrument lights with Leds. The plastic insert that the gauges screw into were all stripped out. I have looked everywhere for this part and cannot find it. I called one of the local Chevrolet Dealers. I was told that part is no longer manufactured. So I went to a couple of junk yards. Their inserts were worse than mine. So I tried to repair my insert using fillers. After putting everything back together now my speedometer is way off. My odometer clips into the speedo cable. I had to baby the insert repair, is there a fix for the adjustment or do I have to replace it. I never knew Restoring could be so frustrating! |
