Speedway Motors Upper control arms
Hi there, old poster, new account.. Anyways, Anyone ever used the tubular chromoly upper control arms on a 78-88 a/g body. ITs a street car, I relize there are no bushings, all my steering and ball joints are brand new, how do they handle, also I was thinking of running my b body spindles, will they work with these control arms?
I was also thinking of putting some more bracing on the control arm near the ball joint... How do these wear? fast? should just spend the money on hotchkis or other makes. |

I put a set on the modified s10 chassis I'm using for my v8 bug. It is still under construction yet so I don't have any experience on how they work, etc..... A lot of the s10 people use them and all I've herd has been good things about them. I've been told that the ride isn't bad if you use stock rubber lower bushings.
Check out the chassis section out on my v8 beetle site, there are some pictures of them and my setup where I rebuilt the front end of the chassis. www.v8beetleresource.com |
