Speedway's Bolt on Mustang II IFS
Hi all....has anybody used Speedway's Bolt-on crossmember and IFS for a 1947 - 1953 Chevy Pickup. Problem with this system is that if requires modifying the frame by cutting a C notch on both sides and triming about two inches off of the radiator crossmember. Seems this would weaken the frame......any thoughts??

Welcome to the board..moving on to the proper forum///
BTW..once the crossmember is in then you box that area and it will not be going anywhere... Sam |
Thanks Sam....was just a little concerned about wacking on a frame not engineered for 520 HP SB. Did find another bolt-on at Chassis Engr that requires no frame mods, but has no boxing and uses struts instead of coil overs.
Leaning toward Speedway's at this point. Gary |
