Call Baker PBE (800) 476-3006. By the time you pay the $16 Oswego County sales taxes on a $200 order, you can have it delivered to your door for about $12 - $15. And no gas used either.

I know they don't deal with SPI and only PPG as there a platinum dealer, but Saves Autobody Suply on state fair blvd gives 10% off with there 10% off buisnuess card ( it's just a regular buisnuess card but has thick black stripes on it, the regular card does not ) they hide them in the back of the card holder on the counter for paint supplys. and there great people to work with. I dealt with Sam. even tho we have a second house 35 miles from syracuse, it's over a 150 mile drive to syracuse, but worth it.

Are there any jobbers that are willing to ship?
How about buying direct?

David... As Irelands Child posted, you can all Baker PBE and they will ship to you. I placed an order Wednesday morning and got it today. They are super people to deal with. Just don't tell them I said that. I don't want them getting big heads.

I don't know how it works, but the shipping is really cheap.

The way I believe it works aaron is spi pays a third of the shipping, baker pays a third and you pay the other 1/3. Baker is great to deal with. When I ordered my universal clear, I called when I got home from work just before 4 pm. That means it was almost 5 pm there. The person who answered the phone at baker said I was just getting ready to go home. He was very freindly and made sure what I wanted and said he would also send the spi tech manual with the order and talked awhile even though it was time to close. I think for 2 quarts of universal clear and 2 quarts of activator, I only had to pay $6 for shipping. I seriously doubt you will find that kind of deal anywhere else. 2 days went by and then the universal was already delivered when I went outside to the porch. Not bad for ordering at closing time.

Barry-
I spoke to my jobber (Gearsbeck, in Central Square) Monday, but didn't get into the specifics. He seemed like he was on the fence. Might be worth talking to him again? Maybe send him some samples?? Ya never know!

If you would like, PM me the specifics of being a distributer, and I will pass them along to Butch. He's a great guy and a straight shooter.
Depending on the outlay, heck, I may even do it if Butch isn't interested. I have a business in Syrause and we ship UPS, Fed Ex every day, as well as sell over the counter.

I have a marketing idea, that you probably already thought of. Why not put 4 oz into a Sample Bottle, with the activator in another bottle. So that way, they could spray out some sample panels for them to look at, and get the feel. No measuring, no nonsense, just mix and spray. Do it with the Epoxy, build prime, base and clear. That way, he could test the whole line at his convenience.
