SPI epoxy primer for underhood

Hey guys, I have been trying to decide on what to used to paint the underhood area (firewall, inner fenders, etc) on my 66 mustang and I have heard that SPI's black epoxy primer works real well for this. Has anyone had any experience with this? I don't care about the "correct" flatness of the factory finish, as a matter of fact I would like something with a little more gloss to it.

Thanks!

the SPI black epoxy cure to a satin finish and since the original GM black is all over the place as to sheen and blackness it is a suitable finish for all underhood surfaces.
