Ray, I absolutely promise you that once you move beyond the circle jerks here there are a thousand people out there reading who think the same way I do. Fanboyism is off putting, even if it is a good product. Effective marketing moves people, not obnoxious marketing.
And strong it was...I suppose in my opinion, to strong. There may very well be many people that feel the way you do and that is your right, just as it is anyone else's right to respond and voice their opinion.

I don't believe this is in any way any attempt at marketing, it's humor and that's all. If you don't feel it's funny, don't laugh and move on.

I can also only assume that as long as you and I are here, reading and posting, we to are a part of that "circle".

Again, with respect

Ray

I have to say, I saw the joke coming from the very beginning so I KNOW what the thug joke is all about and that it IS a joke. But I could see Barry running with it as a marketing campaign and it could be damn funny and successful if you ask me, coming from a guy who has studied a bit in marketing. Maybe not "thug" but "Club", I could see the tee shirts right now. "Card carrying member of the SPI auto restoration club". With a membership card emblazoned on it. LOLOL

Don't worry about it, no offense is taken Ray. You can always tell me how it is, in your old wise mind.

If I must confess I had completely forgotten that this was an SPI specific thread.

So, Randy, carry on if you must. I am sorry I shat in your punch bowl. Since I'm a 'thug' by proxy I guess it's ok if you call me grumpy thug or fun sponge thug.

Maybe everyone should have a thuggin name.

No big deal.. I don't let anyone shat in my punch bowl as you say.... You was just blowing hot air a 1000 miles away that's all...

Remember this.. When on a Forum, You will read things you just might not like.. Ask me how I know.... I spend as much time as I can trying to help people when I can plus build cars all day.... Been hit pretty low for it too... But shake it off and try my best to keep helpping the people that want me too.. Doing this plus building cars will push you to the eage sometimes and I been pushed there more then once....

The old me would have went toe to toe with you on the board,, But I try to handle things different now.. Try it..

Didn't have to say the thing's you said,, But that's water under the bridge as they say...Time to move on..

Oh !!! By the way you came on yelling at me, it look's more like I was the one doing the sha*tting in your punch bowl...

As far as me posting here on this thread,, Y'all have fun... The fighting will just end up on another thread,,, That's the way it is..

Now as far as me helpping Mr.Barry Market his Primer,,, I don't think He need's my help..

His primer speak's for it's self....If he is making more money because of me... I'm not getting anything but a Very nice friend ship.... And that's all I need... Well maybe not,,, A couple more gallon's of primer will do !!!!

All joking a side... When your a good friend to me,,, I will watch your back for life... And He's just that.. A good friend..... And ONE day we will sit down and have lunch together and laugh about all this..

Someone sent this to me this morning and I got a pretty good chuckle out of it, Randy – I thought it was funny!
First thing that came to my mind, is we are putting together a bowling team this fall in a very high average league, one guy is an ex hall of famer PBAer and there are a handful of others that were professional and a dozen younger guys warming up to try and go pro.
Our team will have 4 200+ average and one guy with a 150 for our handicap.
All the sponsors have T-shirts made and I told the guys we may get laughed out of this league but we are going out in style, so I ordered polo shirts for the guys with SPI on the sleeves and their name, now I only wish I had ordered these with SPI thug on them, or at least for mine!

This is a tough business if you are a painter, adjuster, manager or a manufacturer, so it is important to have a sense of humor and a good laugh anytime you can, so you don’t end up in a government sponsored cell with padding!
Work hard and play harder with what little free time we have to play!

One way to prove how resistant this primer is is by sanding the top layer off and try washing it with solvents again just to be sure of its resistance all the way through...
no ,it wont wash off after the top layer is sanded off it remains impenitrable...as it should...
