SPI - Yellow????

Barry - do you guys make a yellow base? I am getting ready to start my next project and sure would like to use your stuff. If not, any recommendations on a really hot yellow (Boyd's yellow, etc...)?

Not yet.
My goal was to do two yellows, HofC silver and three whites and intercoat by July.
I'm in middle of the silver and whites and intercoat and we had to stop because of lack of time.
Be truthful Jamie or myself have not touch either in two months but so far August looks boring and if I stay around town we can knock it out pretty quick.

as far as a yellow. my favorite is hok lime gold kandy base coat. its actually a super bright pearl yellow. spray it on top of lemon yellow base. the kandy bases are easier than a regular kandy to spray but care must still be taken. just got done spraying a 67 firebird tonight in that color. looks killer. hok chrome yellow is nice too.

I've been using Solar yellow which is a Dodge trk color. It has a lot of red in it & is a pretty yellow. Like to see it be one of the yellows. It's the closest color to Corvette's milliniun yellow , which is a 3 stage paint.

Things move slow!

I accidentally ran across a building for sale and bought it ( in Woodstock, Ga), hope to be in it in next couple weeks and start getting things set up.

This will give room to expand bases. Monday I have a meeting with company that is suppose to have state of art software for matching colors.

Also Monday have a meeting with a core tint manufacturer that is promising me the moon, if I buy from them. Things like free lab help to match colors, not sure catch yet.

Slow process but I really want to expand the colors in a big way, so I'm trying to gear up to be real efficient but its a slow process.
