Spicer rear hubs

Whats all your oppinions on how durable this rear will be under a 300Hp load??
This rear has 32mm axle nuts(castle nuts)which basicaly tighten the hubs onto the axle against a tapper w/ a 2" long 1/4" keyway in there.
Heres a pic: http://hotrodders.com/gallery/showph...cat/500/page/1

Eventually I plan on putting something differant in there. But for next summer this will be IT.
Also it has very small U-joints and an assembly were the U-joint is on a plate that bolts to the pinion using (4) 5/16" bolts.Think its gonna take an occasional pounding, evan if I have no traction??
I know my freind had the car out once w/ a 327 infront of it and said he spun the car around twice(and nothing broke I guess).Allthough I do know he had to brace the lower control arms w/ 1/8" plate, the volvo parts guy told me he came to him for a new set of control arms after he broke one.

Anyone care to venture a guess on if this hub assembly will hold 300Hp using old L60s or if I'm gonna shear the keyway off first or second time I tromp on it?

While I think you will be "asking for it" with that combo I don't think you could have too much trouble with those tires on it. If you ever get any traction it will be toast and you would be lucky if you only sheared the keyway. Take some extra keyway stock with you if you are far from home.

I would look into getting something made in the range of at least 30 splines.

The plate bracing is a very good idea, but now you need to strengthen the rest back there.
