spiderweb in paint on fiberglass

Guys I'm in tears. Someone please hold me. I just replaced the alternator on my 87 corvette with new paint. Well I took the bad alternator off to take to the parts store to avoid the core and as in normal fashion I did something stupid. I left the alternator bracket flipped back when I shut the hood. Now I have a beautiful starburst right in the center of the dip, in the middle of the raised cowl section of the hood. Doesn't appear that I cracked the hood, just the paint. I'm sure that the resin is now powder underneath and wonder what ones next plan of action might be as to unf-----g this hood.

I think you know the answer. Sander down, repairs and repaint the hood. Thats tough luck no matter which way you look at it.
