Spiral Flow mufflers

hey all, I am looking for your input on spiral flow mufflers...they are the ones that have no packing in them, just spiral channels...I'm running them on my ice racer and they work, sound and perform very well in that application but I have never compared them to anything else...I'm wondering how they would compare to other more common mufflers in a street application so if anyone can provide additional information that would be great, thank you!

I'v been wondering how those work, after I saw a D.N.A ad.

Anyhow cant be of much help, all I have ever used are Cherry bombs, partly due to the fact that they are cheap and the cops around here don't like open exhaust.

Would love to hear what they sound like on your car.

if I can find some way to record it I'll post it somewhere so you can hear it...I'm running a 327 in my ice racer with full length headers and 3" exhaust, they have a deep tone and they sure aren't silent, but they're not too loud...it's hard for me to compare 'em to anything else cause I put 'em on my car at the same time I put the headers on it, before that it had iron manifolds and glasspacks...performance improved greatly...I'm thinking I'll probably end up putting a pair on my '79 chevy so I'll know more then...they seem pretty tough, if you end up breaking them you will probably have bigger problems to worry about as well...

spiral flow exhaust clips

I know this thread is old but I recorded my exhaust on my cell phones voice notes then I converted the files format from amr to wav and then mp3 on my computer. The exhaust is loud but it's alot quieter than the bullets I had on before which were 3" straight pipe. Now I got 2.5" straight pipe spiral flows. I wish I could put a h or x pipe, but there isn't much room on my car. I'll just leave it like this for now. Oh and this is my 84 z28 with a 305 and a 312 duration hydraulic circle track cam.
The first clip is with the door closed and the windows up.
The second clip is with the drivers door open.
