spot welds
What is the best way to drill spot welds on a panel that will be reused. I am trying to avoid to big a hole

Not easy to do if you are reusing the panels. You have to be right on to get the spot weld.
A spot weld remover I think will do you best. When you are done, just plug weld the hole shut with a MIG and grind smooth if you like. Here is a picture of one. Rich

The spot weld cutters are great if one panel, or even both are to be re-used. You can cut thru only one panel, and separate them. If both of the panels are going to be re-used, they can be re-welded with the plugs aligned in the holes. If only one panel is being used, either grind off the plugs left from separating the panels, or use the holes for the plug welds.
