I like mixing it with intercoat, and useing a siphon
feed gun. It clogs the gravity ones up sometimes. If I want to use a gravity one I use the DeVilbiss bag system so I can lay the gun on it's side between coats. Even turn it upside down and shake it.

Depending on how big the item is you are spraying you could simply spray clear and then dumb the stuff on patting it flat and collecting the ones that fall off in a masking tape "catch" under your work and reuse it.
This sounds crazy stupid at first thought (or at least it did to me) but when I asked about applying "bass boat flake" (as I call it) I was told this method and I used it, worked well for me. I am NOT by any means a custom painter and have only used this giant flake a few times but this method worked and frankly surprised the heck out of me. Brian |
