i have a new set of rear springs, but they have the wrong bushing in the front eye. what would be the best way to remove them? they are steel encased rubber. i have a few ideas of my own, but i'd like to hear some other opinions. thanks

Depends what you are replacing them with. Some replacement uerthane bushings do not have shells and are designed to either fit into the eye itself or into the old shell.

If yours requires the use of the old shell, just heat the bushing with a torch for a few seconds and push it out like butter.
