Depends?
If its their acrylic enamel, silver should be good for a year or two.
If its their acrylic urethane a little longer.
As long as your using an activator with the enamel, you do have the option of spraying and letting set overnight is safest bet and than next day tack and spray a clear over it.
Most of these systems will say wait at least four hours before spraying clear (only if the enamel is activated) but that is under perfect conditions, so let cure overnight to be safe
and you can spray at that point any brand clear you want. No matter what you spray the life fasting of the color will be extended as well as the paint durability.
But if your doing all this, why not BC/CC?

I am new to all of this, i have about 2 quart of this paint that i have decided to use. It is Omni AU MTK 2K urethane.

Is there a special type clear i would need to ask for?
Do i need to have hardener and reducer for clear?
By activator do you mean the hardener?

************************************************** *What ever your budget allows on clear, the jobber may have 10-15 or more choices, they all will work, let him suggest one to you.

Activator = hardener (slang wise)
