sssteering box

somebody please tell me the correct way to adjust a 605 steering box. i installed one on a 57 chevy. drives pretty good but.will not return (free wheel back to striaght after making a turn), if i re adjust the steering, is all over the road, if i tighten up box makes it worse. got to be a correct way to adjust. thanks for any help.

I'm no expert, but it sounds to me like it is not a case of adjustment, but there is something wrong in the geometry of the steering arms. Maybe, too long or too short of a pitman arm etc.

Castor adjustment.

Take it to a alignment shop.
