Has anyone put a warner super T10 in a 70's chev pickup with a 2 piece drive shaft. If so, the stock trans has a bolt on yoke and T10 a slip. How did you deal with that problem?

had a two peice in my truck but the driveline service told me to get rid of it and the carrier bearing (?) and just run a single long shaft, so i did. they said that was the way to go these days.
