Post ST400 to TH400 on a 401 buick

WIll a TH400 bolt up to a 65 401 buick that had a ST400? Is $1200 too much to pay for a St400 rebuild job?

The only trans that will bolt on the early buick nail head engine must come from the same early buick. The later t400 for a buick is the same on buick olds & pontiac & will not fit you're engine.bob

Thanks, yes I can see the difference now on the bolt pattern. What about cost for rebuilding one? Any body in Texas doing it?

There's a guy out in Katy well, actually off Greenhouse that is an incredible tranny guy. He is in business for himself. I don't know if he would know that tranny or not, but he redid a 700R4 for me a few years ago. Lowest price I got even with me pulling it and taking it to them was $1200. He charged me $550. His name is Terry, 281-858-4475. Tell him Drew Helm or Dave Zey referred you.
