Stall Converter

Don't know much about these things but can they be used in a daily driver. I am going to build a 383 stroker with about 450 hp/tq. It'll have a th-400 with a 3.42 posi. It's going in a 1970 Nova. I want to use about a 2500 stall. Will this work on a daily driver or will I damage the stall converter? Obviously a trans cooler would help, right. How big of a stall converter can you use on a daily driven car without hurting anything? Would I need to install anything else beside the trans cooler for the stall converter? All help is appreciated. Thanks a lot!

2500 would be safe. My bro runs the same stall as akm with no probs. I just wouldn't go too much higher.
