stall on decel

My 200 6 has been having problems while in drive, when I go to decel, she stalls. Doesn't matter how quickly I brake, or how fast I was going, however this doesn't happen in reverse at all. I rebuilt the holley 1940 very recently. Timing is dead on at 12* without advance. How can I get her to stop doing this? She goes vroooooooom and doesn't miss until real high RPM, which she never sees unless I'm in park and revving for one reason or another. Thanks guys.

Edit - Trials: The idle is flawless, like a sewing machine. I tried raising the idle up real high and that didn't solve it so I figured low idle wasn't a problem.

Between the carb and spacer that bolts to the head-
I used the gasket that looks like the first picture.
Now I am using the one in the second picture.
I also have one that looks like the third picture, so maybe I should be using that one?

I am at a loss, and am getting frustrated with this! The timing is set at 12*, and idle speed is supposed to be around 500-550, and I'm running about that, and it runs great. I just don't understand why she keeps stalling on deceleration! I left everything exactly the same as before I pulled the carb, just replaced the gaskets and rebuilt the carb. Help! =)

re stall on decell

my first suggestion would be to look for a vacuum leak.

if power assisted brakes be sure to check the booster.

inspect all other vac hoses into manifold.
