stall speed

A friend tells me that installing a th350 torque converter in a th400 will raise the stall speed. Assuming the stall speed is normally about 1600-1650 with the th400 converter, what will it be with the th350 converter?

it is the converter diameter. The factory t-350 converter was slightly smaller in diameter than the t-400.

There were also different factory rated stall RPM converters for the t-350 & t-400 trans

Your typical stock 12" TH350 torque converter will give you 2100-2200 max rpm stall behind a 350ci SBC. And 2500rpm stall when bolted to a 454 ci BBC.
