Started project journal '78 T-top Z28 Camaro

I have a 1978 T-top Z28 Camaro that my dad and i are restoring for me. I'm only 16 years old and dont know much about restoring a car! I started a project journal, if anyone is interested in seeing my car. I've posted a thread in the interior section, but didn't get much from it. I need some help finding some interior component, such as: front bucket seats (they don't need to be custom or anything, just seats for a teens first car.), seat belts for the front and back seats, carpet, and just some good places to buy interior and exterior for my car. I know my dad has been asking questions too, but i'm also trying to do it on my own.

COOL 383! Make sure you start a journal in the project journal section! I look forward to seeing a young hotrodder building his first car. Have fun!

My first camaro was a 78 z. have had several of them since. Nice ride. I would consider recovering your original seats if the frames and fowm are in good shape. if you want something different there are lots of newer car with decent sport seats in the junkyard. most wreckers would let you test fit them. feel free to ask me anything, i'll try to have an answer. also check out http://www.nastyz28.com/camaro.html one of the best sites for 2nd gen camaro info.

Hey gator412, I was wondering how you got the project journal link to show up with your posts, because mine doesn't! Oh and i hope you look forward to seeing a young hotrodder build her first car, since i am a girl! No offense taken, how would you know i was a girl.

Speede5 thanks for the link, im gonna check out that site and i will definitely consider sports seats from a junk yard!

I need to go out and clean off the new floor boards so they can be primed and painted and then we will touch them up after they are welded in.
Thanks

ok "my bad" as you young ones say..lol. I have two teenage daughters that like to help every now and then. But what they really want is for me to finish my truck so they can drive it! Maybe I'll keep the standard transmission in it...since they don't know how to drive a stick...lol

As far as the journal I think the administrator puts it there. How fast it gets there depends on how busy he is...but is usually pretty fast. You can always post the question in the site suggestions and help forum.

So keep us posted and keep posting pics to your journal so we can see how its coming along. I'm gonna go see if you started one yet...

Later young lady,
James

Hey I looked at your journal...very cool project!

+1. That site is a very good source for buying used 2nd Gen Camaro parts. Check out their swap meet section at: http://www.nastyz28.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=13

They are good about responding to WTB (want to buy) adds that you post.
