starter 51 chevy

hi. im looking for either a rebuild kit or a brand new starter for my 51 chevy. it still runs on a 6v system on the original str.6. i just need to know where to get either. i cant find anywhere that sells either

Doc here,

Here is a brush kit , starter drive, and Solenoid..that should just leave bearings, that you would need If the windings are good.

King Bearing, Cordelia California could probably match them for you..

The rest is spray down with cleaner and pressure wash it clean , Burnish the brush pads on the Armature, clean out the insulators with a pocket knife or Talaban boarding pass (box knife) Paint and reassemble.

That link failed for me, but I looked it up. It showed the kit as a Victory Lap part number GMS01. If you try a parts place & their computer doesn't to back that far, the same part number is listed for a '78 Nova.

thanks you for the info. the first site had the the parts i needed but they only ship within the U.S., and im in Canada . i tried napa but not that site so ill try that site when i get off work tonight. thanks again for all the help.
