Yeah, the passenger cars we got here ( Chevs and Canadian Pontiacs) had iron 'glides till 61 or 62 and I think starter on block from 63 on.
Don't know about trucks - we lost Chev trucks after 58 and got them again briefly in 77.
Hey GM do you see a pattern here? Since WW2 you've made some great products and encouraged the world to buy japanese by WITHHOLDING THEM FROM THE MARKETS THAT WOULD PURCHASE THEM.
I don't buy jap, but most of the world does and you're as much to blame as the buyers. People will buy rubbish if there is no alternative - You've thrown the southern hemisphere market away. BTW Ford and Chrysler are just as guilty.
Sorry about the diversion but these clowns have cost jobs and choices all over the world - market analysts should be on a broom.
