starter brace
I've searched but have had no luck so far. I'm putting together a SBC (Gen 1), and just purchased a rebuilt starter for it. 168 tooth, staggered bolt pattern. I have a GM starter brace, but the starter is too long for the brace I've got. The starter is a DL3510MS from Autozone. Apparently the starter is a heavy duty unit that's a bit longer than the standard duty starter, and the brace I've got is for a standard duty starter. Does anyone know where I can obtain the proper brace for this. I'll fab one if I have to, but I'd rather purchase the correct part. Thanks for any help you can provide.

I would take it back and exchange for the smaller. With a 168 the std. should have no prob.

yeah...that's probably what I'll do, but I thought maybe the larger starter would be better if I could find the correct brace.
