starter motor
hi i have a hz 350 chev panal van and my starter motor has just decided to start spinning and will not grab the fly wheel have checked all wires all in good con plenty of battery i am not sure what to do now

to me, it sounds like the little gear(forgot the name of it) isn't coming out of the starter all the way to grab the flywheel or you got some teeth missing out of one of them

Bad solenoid. It's not kicking the Bendix gear out far enough. While your replacing that, check the travel on the Bendix arm and make sure it moves the gear all the way out without any resistance. Do not forget to replace the big spring inside the solenoid when you put it back together.
