Starter ring gear on torque converter??????
OK, I'm new to Chrysler products. Got a 440, think its a 727 trans, anyway there's a tooth missing off the ring gear and the ring gear is welded onto the converter. Can the gear be replaced? Does anyone know of a source? Can't find one local. Or do I have to buy a new converter?

usually the convertor has to be replaced, but a good machinest can weld the spot and recut a tooth.
