Starters Vs Racing Starters

I am looking for a starter on ebay right now and looking at mini starters. I am looking at one that is a regular mini starter and one they say is a Mini racing starter and was wondering which one would last me the longest in my truck which is an S-10 with a V8 so i kind of need the mini starter. I am just using the truck for fun and it doesn't have a hopped up engine...yet
I am worried if i go with the racing starter if it will wear out faster or built for only racing use. the only difference between the two is that one weighs 7.5 and the other 9.0 but they are both permanent magnet gear reduction i hope that is enough discription
thanks for your opinion

I'd imagine that the racing starter would probably have more torque to turn over the higher compression engines faster. The mini-starters have more torque in general but I'd think the racing ones carry more if they are in fact different.

Andrew7dg,
Don't forget to check out Jegs Mini starter. I found that it was cheaper then getting them off Ebay. I know some of the racing starters have a different gear reduction. If remember correctly my Jeg's is 4 to 1. Though all of the specs are on there site.
