steerin box

Hello. Im buildind bracket/ street 92 camaro for my daughter. I was wondering if anyone knew if an S10 manual steering box would fit on this car. It has ps now and Im trying to eliminate some belts and weight>

I don't think it is a bolt on, but with some effort you can make it fit. Another option is a Vega steering box, they are real popular with street rodders. They can be had rebuilt from various sources for not too bad a price.

The S-10 manual box is a bolt in, the vega box, I am not sure of, but I dont' think it's a bolt in. I picked up a nice tight vega steering box up at a swap meet for $15 and the input shaft isn't long enough, I would have to lenght the steering column shaft to use this box. Maybe all vega boxes aren't the same, I'm not sure.

BTW, my father and I are building a 1991 Camaro RS. the motor is a 1963 327cu with alcohol fuel injection, we are hoping to run in the 10's. It's not finished yet, the motor is, but we are still working on the body work for the car.
