A 1932 Chevrolet in many ways is similar to a 1932 Ford

Most rodder 32 Fords have a newer, better steering box. They tend to steer easier, have less play and are more responsive than the 1930's technology steering boxes.

I have been a 1932 Ford guy for most of my life. I have a Vega steering box in my 32 Ford roadster and a UNI-STEER rack in my 1932 Ford 3W coupe.

I would upgrade to a newer box if it were me. Here is a Vega box in a early Chevrolet.

You can fabricate a bracket or simply buy one already made.

Or you could go with a rack like UNI-STEER ...
