thank for the info on the u joints, new problem if i put the ujoints or coupler on it looks like i well have a figure L is that ok its about 12 in in total length to vega ,also well have to build a plate to hang vega on just below frame is that ok

The shafts angle should be no greater than about 30 degrees relative to each other. Any angle greater than that will cause the u-joints to bind and wear excessivly.

Fabricating a plate to mount to the frame and bolt the Vega steering gear is OK, as long as you get the geometry correct and the plate is heavy enough to prevent flexing.
