Steering box for model a

There are many steering boxes that are very close in size to the vega steering box I am thinking on using an chevy pu box in my model a that is almost the same size except the output shaft is longer. Anyone see and down sides to using that box ?

If you've got it, then give it a try. That's what Hot Rods are all about.

I tried a 525, a Vega and a Unisteer. The Unisteer was the best in my opinion.

Depending on your set up it may be better as you will not need the Vega drop Pittman arm. Make sure the rotation is right for your set up. Nothing worse than hooking up a cross steering setup to find it does not turn the right direction.
