steering coloum bearings

hi guys i have a67 biscayne that is making some real wierd noises in the the steering coloum i suspect it to be bearings has anybody done one of these before anything to watch for as it comes apart never been inside one of them before thanks joe

If it's not a tilt-column, it's pretty basic. I haven't done one of your make/year, but the ones I've repaired from various other makes were very similar.

Steering wheel puller, snap ring pliers, and basic hand tools should be all you need.

The bearings should be available from any bearing supplier. (And likely cheaper than OEM.) If you can read the number on the bearing, great. If not, just measure ID, OD and thickness -- or just take it to the bearing shop.
