steering column for a 1949 chevy pickup

what length aftermarket steering column do i need for my chevy pickup. what a good brand to look at. i really wan a tilt column

Don't know the exact length of the column, but I used one out of a late 70's chevy van in mine. It doens't have the ignition but has tilt and the push button in the turn signal lever for cruise.

my 58 has a 89 chevy astro van/gmc safari van steering column in it. column shift (automatic), tilt, ignition, turn signal and cruise. i use them all. it sticks thru the floor 5''.
