Steering Column fm 78 Chev Van

Was luck to find a tilt column from a 78 van for my 49 3600 conversion. However the turn signal stalk broke off as it was bent a few to may times.
Question is do NON Cruise control stalks work in the place of the one that I have that has a button for cruise. I can find one with the button, but so far it's over a $100. @ Classic Ind. and that seems a little pricey.

Yes they should work. The only difference between the cruise control turn and non-cruise control turn; is the cruise control has a wire which runs down the column to the wiring harness. The cruise control turn comes out very easy, just pull the wire out. Then replace with any turn signal, you could probably get a cheep one at the scrap yard.
