steering damper for 65 Chevelle Help find??
Hey there
on my old 65 chevelle I have power steering old school, you know you can almost spin the wheel when turning its so easy. I want to put a steering damper on it, does one exist for this thing??? This old school steering gets dangerous when your reacting to the back coming out (posi) as hard as you try the wheel is so easy, over steer is common. through first, second with the back end wanting to go sidewise I think a dmaper would really help. Don't want to do rack pinion. Thoughts?? thanks in advance

Just replace the steering box with one from a 90s Jeep Cherokee. It has a 12 to 1 ratio, and bolts in outside of the rag joint and hoses. You can get the rag joint from Borgesen, and the hose adapters from NAPA in the Weatherhead catalog.
I know of no steering damper that is a bolt on.
