I am also using a Vega box on my 1932 Ford Roadster. I prefer the spindle with the 2 holes in it to the tie rod adapter with the extra hole. That's the way Ford did it.

I had to buy a set of lowered bolt on steering arms for my spindles because of the 4 bar set up front suspenion interfered with the steering arm to spindle clearance. The arms lowered the bar that runs from spindle to spindle and gave me more room for the Harmonic balancer to clear. I have a SBC.

The two bars do not have to be parallel.

With cross steering, a panhard bar is a very good idea. I have one.
