I lost my nut! Actually I lost the steering wheel nut off my 63 fairlane. Does anyone know the size and thread count on this nut?

Being a '63, there is little chance it is anything exotic. Most likely it is a SAE fine thread around 5/16" to 1/2". Find a nut (probably a coarse thread) in your old bolt can that starts in the thread then go buy a fine threaded version which I'm sure will screw right on.
