Steet Beast 34 window channel

Hi Ya'll from SAT.
New poster here. I just bought an almost done Street Beast 34 Coupe. It's my first rod project though I've had a few Vettes. I got the door window channel that came with the car but it seems too wide for the window run. I didn't want to start trimming the door until I asked if anyone has any tricks for installation. The body has already been painted. Any tricks?

Bud

Bud The window channel in those are not good. First they did not make the opening for the widow strong enough, the whole opening needs to be redone, but since yours is painted that sounds like it is out.

What I did on mine was got some metal channel to run around the window and then down to the bottom of the door. the metal channel was of the size of the felt channel. then on the opening on the bottom I put in a piece of l-shaped metal, which you could put a rubber wiper on each side or cat whiskers. Doing this not only made the door stronger but will cut out wind noise.

I don't know what yours came with but they were not set up for felt channel to start with, I had a CMC body and it just had a "U" shaped rubber going around that opening, I don't know if it was changed later or not.

PM me and I will give you my number and tell you in more detail.

Bob
