Stereo question

I have to replace a Hidden Stereo. The power head is going, and I'd like to upgrade to something with a USB port. I'd like to put the whole thing in the glove box, so it would be nice to have a smaller unit and something with a USB port on the side so I can close the glove box. Anyone out there able to help with a make/model of stereo that would work out. I don't need a great stereo, as I've suffered some hearing loss anyway.

I don't think your going to find a stereo with a USB port on the side, you may find one with a USB port on the back or hanging from a cable but I haven't seen it. Most stereos have an aux port on the front and you can get right angled cords that plug into that. Plug the other end into a MP3 player and it would accomplish the same thing for a few $ more.

Wasn't it so much easier when all we had to worry about was the 3 or 4 AM stations, and whether or not that speaker stuck up in the dash was crackling or not?

In that case, what would be the smallest most compact stereo I could find?

I haven't kept up with all the new Audio units. May try looking at Crutchfield site, they always have a good selection & should know what's the smallest available.

Have you tried Sonic Electronix? Got my system from them. Not a bad price, either. Just a thought.
